Last-Minute Sports and School Physicals: A Practical Guide

Camp and school forms often land on short deadlines. Here is how walk-in physicals work and what to bring so your visit goes smoothly.

Many organizations require a documented physical within a specific window. When schedules are tight, same-day walk-in care can keep athletes and students on the field or in class without delay.

Bring photo ID, insurance cards if applicable, any required school or league forms, and a list of medications and allergies. Glasses or contacts are helpful if vision will be checked.

The visit typically includes vitals, vision screening, heart and lung exam, musculoskeletal checks, and discussion of safety and healthy habits.

If a concern is found that needs follow-up, you may receive paperwork for your primary care provider or a specialist. For straightforward cases, forms are often completed during the visit.

Fast Med offers extended hours seven days a week at select locations—ideal when the season starts Monday and the form is due Friday.
